This impressive video was made on the roof of a new apartment block on the edge of Minsk. First of all none was hurt in spite of the fact that this act was really dangerous. The young guy smiled at the camera and jumped down from the roof of 25-storeyed apartment block. The height of the building is about 85 meter so the whole thing took a bit more than 10 seconds. So what are your ways to impress women?! :)

The National Opera and Ballet Theatre is famous for many years and it's always recommended as a “Must see” destination in Minsk. The history of the Belarus opera and ballet begins in May 1933. In that period it was a part of the National Drama theatre. The Fist performances were Eugeny Onegin, Carmen and the Queen of Spades. In 1939 the construction of the Opera and Ballet Theatre building was finished on the Trinity Hill (current location). During the World War 2 (1941-1945) Belarus was occupied by Nazi troops. Minsk was turned into ruins. The artists of the theater went to the front or joined the guerrilla movement. Many artists performed on the front for the soldiers of the Soviet Army.

In the meantime finding apartment in Minsk for 1-9 May could be a long and pricy issue. The main reason is that there are pretty long holidays in Belarus and Russia: 1st of May – International Worker’s Day, 9th of May – Victory Day (Word War 2). Too many people are coming to Minsk for holidays or for visiting their friends.

When travelling to Minsk you can easily choose a hotel with its standard convenience and service. Of course if you need it just for one night sleep after hard and long negotiations then apparently it’s a good way out. But staying in a hotel in Minsk for a longer period can be disastrous for many reasons. A lot of clients face the problem of maids knocking always when they are in the bathroom or a hotel restaurant with its pricy and the same menu or this lack of freedom when you can’t invite guests or even your girlfriend. Apartment in Minsk is a cost-effective alternative to pricy hotels, no matter whether you are travelling on business or for leisure. You get space, freedom and money savings. Here are the points you should keep in mind while choosing between an apartment and a hotel.
