Chizhovka Arena: the second ice hockey complex in Minsk

We have already written several articles about Minsk getting ready to the Ice Hockey Championship 2014. Today we decided to take a look at the new sport complex in Minsk – Chizhovka Arena. The construction of Chizhovka Arena started in 2009 and finished in the end of 2013. The main stadium in the Arena seats 10 thousand spectators, the small arena could accommodate other indoor sports events and seats over 1000 people. Chizhovka Arena will be the second ice hockey stadium during the championship in May 2014. It will be the home arena for the hockey club Yunost Minsk.

The location of Chizhovka arena is not central. In fact there were several skeptical opinions about the location and the quality of the new sports complex but we are more interested in the evaluation of the international community during the championship.
